Girls Who Code

Coding, Sisterhood, Impact​

Join us for an exciting FREE week of coding exploration at one of our Girls Who Code Camps for middle schoolers!

 

Throughout the week, participants dive into the world of coding, developing foundational skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Highlights of the camp include:

  • Engaging coding sessions designed to spark creativity and problem-solving.

  • Interactive activities and projects that foster collaboration and critical thinking.

  • A captivating mid-week field trip, providing hands-on exposure to technology in action.

  • A culminating showcase on the last day, where students proudly present their projects and accomplishments.

This camp is intended to inspire any female, female identifying, or non-binary students to find a place in coding. While our program is designed for female participants, regardless of gender assignment at birth or legal recognition, we welcome any member who wishes to join the Girls Who Code mission irrespective of gender identity. 

​

Students are required to have their own laptop, iPad, or device. It technology is a barrier, please email Kim at kstewart@mainediscoverymuseum.org and we are happy to help try to accommodate.

2024 Girls Who Code camp dates:

- April Vacation Camp, April 15-19, 2024 at Maine Discovery Museum, 74 Main Street, Bangor, ME

- Summer Pop Up Camp, July 8-12, 2024 at Cole Museum Foundation Building, 405 Perry Rd, Bangor, ME
