The Education Department has multiple position openings, both part-time and full-time, for summer employment, paying $16-$18/hour commensurate with experience.
Full-Time summer position:
Summer Camp Teachers from July 11-August 26. Paid training in mid-late June
Part-Time summer positions:
Science Outreach Facilitators from mid to late June to mid-August. Paid training provided for outreach and community collaborations and educational content delivery.
Notice: Valid Driver’s License, a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance are required. The community collaborations position could be extended into the fall/winter as a part-time weekend position.
Successful candidates will have extensive experience working with families and children of elementary school age in informal education, school settings, childcare, special education, or family community events. Successful candidates will be mature, reliable, and safety conscious and will have experience implementing hands-on STEAM activities, will work well in a team, and will be enthusiastic, patient, kind, and creative.
Teachers, ED techs, and educational students are encouraged to apply!
Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience in informal education settings. Pay commensurate with experience.
